The HI84532-55 is a 230 mL bottle of pump calibration solution that is used to calibrate the dosing system of the HI84532 Titratable Acidity Mini Titrator for Fruit Juice Analysis.A calibrated dosing pump allows for the accurate determination of the amount of titrant used when performing a titration. The amount of volume dosed along with the concentration of the titrant is used by the pre-programmed formula within the HI84532 in determining the exact titratable acidity. The pump calibration procedure should be performed anytime the titrant or pH electrode is replaced. Routine calibration is recommended to ensure the highest of accuracy when performing a titration.

The HI84532-55 is a 230 mL bottle of pump calibration standard solution that is used for both low and high range determination of acidity in fruit juice.Titratable acidity in fruit juice, as performed on the HI84532-01 mini titrator, utilizes a simple sample preparation, a high quality titrant dosing pump, potentiometric endpoint detector, and automatic computations. To maintain the high precision of the titrator, a simple pump calibration procedure is required. A change of measurement range requires a different titrant along with a pump recalibration. The pump calibration involves the analysis of a known volume of a known solution and compensates for changes in pump dosing that may occur due to many factors including tube stretching or aging. This procedure should be performed regularly with the HI84532-55 pump calibration solution to accurately determine acidity levels in fruit juice products.Replacement reagents required to operate the HI84532-01 include:

HI70300L Electrode Storage Solution (500 mL)

HI70300L is a storage solution prepared with reagent grade chemicals that can be used to ensure optimum performance of your pH and ORP electrodes. It is necessary to store a pH electrode in a solution in order to keep the glass membrane of the pH electrode hydrated. Ideally a storage solution should be used; never store an electrode in distilled or deionized water. The Hanna Instruments storage solution is specifically formulated to minimize microbial growth and to prevent any effects of diffusion/osmotic from storing a probe in a solution with the highly concentrated inner reference electrolyte. Storing your pH and/or ORP electrodes in a storage solution will also keep the junction clear. Maintaining the hydrated layer and clear junction will help to ensure a fast and reliable measurement. In the case of cleaning your pH electrode in one of our cleaning solutions, we recommend soaking the electrode in the HI70300L storage solution for at least one hour before taking measurements.
