The HI9810-61 portable meter features a large LCD which displays either pH, EC, TDS or temperature readings along with tutorial instructions. The HI9810-61 is a simplistic pH/EC/TDS meter that is calibrated manually to a single point with the use of two trimmers. pH is calibrated to pH 7.01 while EC/TDS is calibrated to either 1.41 mS/cm (1413 µS/cm) or 1500 ppm. The LCD screen has battery life indicator as well as on-screen tutorial messages. The supplied HI1285-61 probe is a polypropylene body, amplified pH electrode with a built-in EC/TDS and temperature sensors. The amplifier for the pH electrode prevents interference from humidity and electrical noise from common sources including from motors, ballasts or pumps. The HI9810-61 is a versatile meter best suited for agricultural, greenhouse and hydroponic applications.

HI1285-61 polypropylene body amplified pH electrode with built in EC/TDS and temperature sensors

The HI9810-61 is supplied with a polypropylene body pH/EC/TDS/temperature probe. The pH, EC, TDS, and temperature sensors are housed in a single body that connects to the meter with a DIN connector. This probe is specially engineered with a fiber junction and gel electrolyte to produce a fast response with reduced contamination.

Amplified pH electrode

The pH electrode circuit has a built in amplifier that will reduce the effects of electrical noise on the high impedance pH measurement. Examples of sources of electrical noise include motors, ballasts, and pumps which are common in greenhouses.

Amperometric EC/TDS sensor

The EC/TDS readings are performed by an amperometric sensor. An alternating voltage is applied to the sensor and the amount of current that passes between the two stainless steel pins is dependent upon the amount of salts (fertilizer) present. A greater amount of salt present results in an increase in conductance. The TDS value in aqueous solutions is directly proportional to the conductivity. The ratio between the two parameters depends on the solution. The HI9810-61 has a fixed conversion factor set to 0.5, meaning that 1 µS/cm is equal to 0.5 ppm of TDS.

Polypropylene body

The polypropylene body houses all the sensors in a single body design and is durable. The probe is gel filled for maintenance free operation. It does not have to be refilled periodically.

  • 3 sensors in a single probe
  • Pre-amplified pH electrode for resistance to electrical noise
  • Gel filled maintenance free pH electrode

Features at-a-glance

  • Water Resistant
  • Automatic Temperature Compensation
    • EC and TDS readings are compensated for variations in temperature
  • Set EC to TDS conversion factor
    • EC to TDS conversion factor set at 0.5 so no need for additional calculations
  • Low Battery Indicator

HI70300L Electrode Storage Solution (500 mL)

59.00 AED
HI70300L is a storage solution prepared with reagent grade chemicals that can be used to ensure optimum performance of your pH and ORP electrodes. It is necessary to store a pH electrode in a solution in order to keep the glass membrane of the pH electrode hydrated. Ideally a storage solution should be used; never store an electrode in distilled or deionized water. The Hanna Instruments storage solution is specifically formulated to minimize microbial growth and to prevent any effects of diffusion/osmotic from storing a probe in a solution with the highly concentrated inner reference electrolyte. Storing your pH and/or ORP electrodes in a storage solution will also keep the junction clear. Maintaining the hydrated layer and clear junction will help to ensure a fast and reliable measurement. In the case of cleaning your pH electrode in one of our cleaning solutions, we recommend soaking the electrode in the HI70300L storage solution for at least one hour before taking measurements.
  • Special formulation to minimize microbial growth and osmotic/diffusion effects between the solution and inner reference electrolyte
  • Manufactured specifically for pH and ORP electrodes
  • Clearly marked expiration date and lot number
