Benchtop Dissolved Oxygen Meter – HI2400

The HI2400 is a durable and accurate benchtop meter that measures dissolved oxygen in mg/L (ppm) or percent saturation. DO measurements are automatically compensated for altitude (up to 4000 m) and salinity (up to 40 g/L) based on the user settings. The meter also offers automatic temperature compensation from the built-in temperature sensor of the supplied polarographic DO probe. This probe features easy to install screw cap membranes for quick replacement when readings become drifty or inaccurate. Calibration is performed at one or two points at 0% using Hanna’s HI7040 solution or 100% in air. The HI2400 also provides users with GLP capabilities and PC connectivity via USB for a simple way to organize and manage their data.

  • Automatic Temperature Compensation
  • One or Two-Point Calibration
  • Interval Logging up to 8000 Samples

The HI2400 is a durable benchtop dissolved oxygen and temperature meter that features a polarographic probe, one or two-point calibration, and a USB port for computer connectivity. This meter offers DO measurements in the mg/L (ppm) or percent saturation (%) range with compensation for temperature, altitude, and salinity.

Features at-a-glance

Two Measurement Modes – The HI2400 gives users the option to display DO readings in mg/L (ppm) or percent saturation (%). In meters that report DO concentration in ppm or mg/L, the solvent is always assumed to be water. In other solvents, the Henry’s Law constant would be different; in those cases, percent saturation should be used as it is incorrect to use ppm or mg/L.Percent saturation is the amount of DO present per amount of DO possible at a given temperature and pressure.

Automatic Calibration – This meter can be calibrated at one or two points: 0% (zero calibration in a zero oxygen solution) and 100% (slope calibration in air). For an accurate calibration, it is recommended to wait for at least 15 minutes to ensure precise conditioning of the probe.

Polarographic DO Probe – The HI76407/2 is a polarographic DO probe that has a silver anode and platinum cathode to determine DO concentration. The pre-tensioned, readymade PTFE membranes can be changed in a matter of seconds without the need to stretch and cut replacements.

Automatic Temperature Compensation – A built-in temperature sensor on the HI76407/2 probe allows calibration and measurements to be automatically compensated for fluctuations in temperature. Temperature is compensated from 0.0 to 50.0℃ (32.0 to 122.0℃).

Altitude and Salinity Compensation – When water is measured at an altitude below sea level, oxygen solubility increases; above sea level, the oxygen solubility decreases. The solubility of oxygen in water is also influenced by the amount of salt the water contains. Users can modify the values in order for the HI2400 to compensate for altitude and salinity during calibration and measurement.

GLP Data – The calibration data including date, time, standards used, and the values for temperature, altitude, and salinity can be accessed at any time by selecting the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) display option.

Data Logging – The 8000 record logging interval allows the possibility of process and experimental monitoring of DO. The logging interval is automatic with user selectable intervals from 5 seconds to 180 minutes

Data Transfer – With a built-in logging function, measurements are stored in non-volatile memory, and can be transferred to a PC through the USB port using the optional HI92000 software and HI920013 USB cable (both sold separately).

HI7061L General Purpose Cleaning Solution (500 mL)

61.00 AED
HI7061L is a general purpose cleaning solution that can be used for a variety of applications. Electrodes can become dirty from use and will produce inaccurate results even as they read correctly in a pH buffer. Hanna’s cleaning solutions eliminate impurities and residues that are left on electrode surfaces when immersed in samples during measurement or when stored incorrectly. Hanna suggests cleaning the bulb and junction of your electrode on a regular basis to ensure that the probe is always clean and to prevent any clogging of the junction.
  • Specially formulated for cleaning electrodes
  • Air tight seal to ensure quality

HI70300L Electrode Storage Solution (500 mL)

59.00 AED
HI70300L is a storage solution prepared with reagent grade chemicals that can be used to ensure optimum performance of your pH and ORP electrodes. It is necessary to store a pH electrode in a solution in order to keep the glass membrane of the pH electrode hydrated. Ideally a storage solution should be used; never store an electrode in distilled or deionized water. The Hanna Instruments storage solution is specifically formulated to minimize microbial growth and to prevent any effects of diffusion/osmotic from storing a probe in a solution with the highly concentrated inner reference electrolyte. Storing your pH and/or ORP electrodes in a storage solution will also keep the junction clear. Maintaining the hydrated layer and clear junction will help to ensure a fast and reliable measurement. In the case of cleaning your pH electrode in one of our cleaning solutions, we recommend soaking the electrode in the HI70300L storage solution for at least one hour before taking measurements.
  • Special formulation to minimize microbial growth and osmotic/diffusion effects between the solution and inner reference electrolyte
  • Manufactured specifically for pH and ORP electrodes
  • Clearly marked expiration date and lot number
